The Women in Science International League (the League) is a platform for knowledge, advocacy and accountability to improve and develop the status of women in science. In essence, the League enables members to share strategies, align objectives and resources, and agree on interventions to achieve more together than they would have been able to achieve individually.
The League plays an important role in facilitating action on many fronts, mainly progress towards the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) particularly SDG 5, to ensure gender equality in science education, employment and other economic social aspects.
The League’s work is based on key priorities supporting all members to achieve better outcomes for women and girls in science across all disciplines and employment sectors. Working for positive system transformation, the League strives to ensure that all women in STEM fields can achieve their full potential.
